Controlling of the F Region Plasma Structures by the E Region Conductance in the Auroral Ionosphere
Abstract At high latitudes, the E and F regions of the ionosphere are strongly coupled through nearly vertical magnetic field lines. To simultaneously and directly relate the E and F regions' plasma structures, we ran a coordinated conjunction campaign between Swarm satellites and Incoherent Scatter Radar in Tromsø, Norway, during a moderate ...

Abstract Low‐velocity layers (LVLs) above the 410‐km discontinuity are commonly attributed to partial melt generated by dehydration melting when hydrous mantle transition‐zone material rises into the upper mantle, where water solubility in nominally anhydrous minerals decreases.

Residual Magnetization Accumulation Enables Rapid Pre‐Polarized Surface NMR Groundwater Detection
Abstract Surface nuclear magnetic resonance (SNMR) directly detects subsurface water, but its field application is constrained by the trade‐off between signal enhancement and survey throughput. Conventional pre‐polarization strengthens SNMR signals but requires long polarization pulses that markedly prolong acquisition. Here we show that repeated short

Ultra‐Low‐L Sub‐MeV Electron Microbursts During the May 2024 Super Storm
Abstract During the May 2024 super storm, we identified sub‐second microburst‐type relativistic electron precipitation events at McIlwain's L∼2 $L\sim 2$ in low‐Earth orbit using the Gamma‐ray Burst Monitor (CGBM) onboard the CALorimetric Electron Telescope on the International Space Station.

Abstract In this study, multi‐source thermospheric observations and TIEGCM simulations were used to explore the latitudinal variations of thermospheric temperature and total mass density at equinoxes. At nighttime, temperature and density exhibit consistent latitudinal patterns, with higher values at high latitudes.
