Prequantization, Geometric Quantization, Corrected Geometric Quantization

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics and Physics, 2021
A comparison on some facts concerning the geometric quantization of symplectic manifolds is presented here. Criticism, facts and improvements on the sophisticated theory of geometric quantization are presented touching briefly, all the "salient points of the theory". The unfamiliar reader can consider this as a "soft" introduction to the topic.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

The Place of God in Spinoza’s Universe [PDF]

open access: yesВестник Православного Свято-Тихоновского гуманитарного университета: Серия I. Богословие, философия, 2015
In the description of the structure of his universe Spinoza employs diff erent approaches or strategies considering them as a kind of world building scenarios. Causal scenario is based on the principle of sufficient reason.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Suppléer aux données manquantes par maximum de vraisemblance : une application à des variables de Bernoulli//Making up for missing data by maximum likelihood estimation: an application to Bernoulli variables [PDF]

open access: yesTutorials in Quantitative Methods for Psychology, 2019
Statistical parameter estimation from incomplete or lacunar data series is an oft-encountered issue in real settings, an issue for which the user has at his disposal a handful of solutions, from simple and multiple imputation to substitution of an ...

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Conserved charges and asymptotic symmetries of BTZ-like black holes in Einstein-bumblebee gravity

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
Using the solution phase space method, we investigate the conserved charges of BTZ-like black holes in Einstein-bumblebee gravity. Our study shows that the black hole mass, angular momentum and entropy are influenced by the Lorentz-violating parameter ...
