Geometric accuracy of CNC machine tools
Proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Mechatronics - Mechatronika 2014, 2014The present article is dedicated to the identification and interpretation of geometric errors of CNC machine tools. Identification of geometric errors plays a large role in the construction of the so-called “Error maps”. These maps can be used to describe the behaviour of the machine in the workspace without load or under conditions of finishing ...

Geometric Accuracy of Ikonos: Zoom In
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2004Pioneering in the world, the high-resolution satellite Ikonos imagery has revolutionary changed the market - users now have the unique opportunity to get satellite images with spatial resolution comparable to middle-scale aerial photos. In our study, we tried to find an answer why such images, having submetre spatial resolution, still contain ...

Statistical Approach to Assessments of Geometrical Accuracy
CIRP Annals, 2002Abstract Statistical properties of the minimax assessments of the geometric accuracy are investigated. The cases when a distribution of the point deviations differs from the normal distribution are especially considered. Among such cases, the roundness deviations of the profile, which is composed of few harmonics, is of fundamental importance.

A geometric approach to subpixel registration accuracy
Computer Vision, Graphics, and Image Processing, 1987A method for estimating the translation offset between a pair of images to subpixel accuracy is described and analyzed. This method assumes the extraction of a digital edge representing a straight line in the image and then computes the best real line which could have given rise to the digital line.

Improve spaceborne SAR geometric accuracy using DORIS
IET Conference Publications, 2009The paper analyzes the effects of the orbit position errors in terms of the geometric accuracy of the space-borne SAR based on the range-Doppler method. The paper gives the simulation experiment results of the space-borne SAR geometric accuracy using DORIS, GPS and MADRAS.

Geometric Accuracy of Machine Tools
2018Geometric accuracy belongs to one of the main parameters of the machine tool. It serves not only for the purpose of machine delivery to the customer or for demonstration of proper service intervention but also for assessment of improvements compared to the current state. The information on geometric accuracy of the machine is also used as a feedback to

The accuracy of geometric channel modeling methods
Fourth International Conference on Information, Communications and Signal Processing, 2003 and the Fourth Pacific Rim Conference on Multimedia. Proceedings of the 2003 Joint, 2004This paper addresses the subject which is too often overlooked in the analysis of a geometric model for wireless channel - the axioms corresponding to a priori properties of the channel that is modeled using geometric approach must represent realistic wave propagation.

Spot Localization Accuracy And Geometric Image Quality
SPIE Proceedings, 1986This paper presents the method used to check the viewing geometry of the SPOT satellite after the launch. Moreover, the results obtained during the first part of the post launch assessment period arc given for the various parameters which specify the geometric image quality. The relevant estimation methods are also described, and the specifications are

Geometric Accuracy Analysis for Discrete Surface Approximation
2006In geometric modeling and processing, computer graphics and computer vision, smooth surfaces are approximated by discrete triangular meshes reconstructed from sample points on the surface. A fundamental problem is to design rigorous algorithms to guarantee the geometric approximation accuracy by controlling the sampling density.
