A Geometric Proof of Calibration [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics of Operations Research, 2010
We provide yet another proof of the existence of calibrated forecasters; it has two merits. First, it is valid for an arbitrary finite number of outcomes. Second, it is short and simple and it follows from a direct application of Blackwell's approachability theorem to a carefully chosen vector-valued payoff function and convex target set.

First Assessment of Bistatic Geometric Calibration and Geolocation Accuracy of Innovative Spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar LuTan-1

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
LuTan-1 (LT-1) is a bistatic synthetic aperture radar (BiSAR) system consisting of two identical L-band SAR satellites. The bistatic mode of LT-1 plays a critical role in generating high-precision digital elevation models (DEMs), which requires precise ...

HYBRID GEOMETRIC CALIBRATION METHOD FOR MULTI-PLATFORM SPACEBORNE SAR IMAGE WITH SPARSE GCPS [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2018
Geometric calibration is able to provide high-accuracy geometric coordinates of spaceborne SAR image through accurate geometric parameters in the Range-Doppler model by ground control points (GCPs).

Method for Determining Elements of Internal Orientation Calibration in Multi-Matrix Optoelectronic Devices

open access: yesНаука и техника, 2020
In the operation schemes of optical electronic devices (OED), such as digital autocollimators, direction finders, Shack-Hartmann sensors, as well as astro-orientation systems, projection measuring systems, geometric calibration schemes for OED, the photo-

Geometric calibration of distributed microphone arrays [PDF]

open access: yes2009 IEEE International Workshop on Multimedia Signal Processing, 2009
Computational auditory scene analysis exploits signals acquired by means of microphone arrays. In some circumstances, more than one array is deployed in the same environment. In order to effectively fuse the information gathered by each array, the relative location and pose of the arrays needs to be obtained solving a problem of geometric inter-array ...

Calibration of geometric distortion in the ACS detectors [PDF]

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2003
The off-axis location of the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) is the chief (but not sole) cause of strong geometric distortion in all detectors: the Wide Field Camera (WFC), High Resolution Camera (HRC), and Solar Blind Camera (SBC). Dithered observations of rich star cluster fields are used to calibrate the distortion.

A Spliced Satellite Optical Camera Geometric Calibration Method Based on Inter-Chip Geometry Constraints

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
When in orbit, spliced satellite optical cameras are affected by various factors that degrade the actual image stitching precision and the accuracy of their data products. This is a major bottleneck in the current remote sensing technology.

INDEPENDENT ON-ORBIT GEOMETRIC CALIBRATION OF OPTICAL SATELLITE BASED ON WEIGHTED VIRTUAL OBSERVATION [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2018
On-orbit geometric calibration is an essential technology to improve the initial geometric accuracy of the optical satellite images. The presented methods usually take the absolute constraint from calibration site data into the imaging model to deduce ...
