Mathematical minimum of Geometric Dilution of Precision (GDOP) for dual-GNSS constellations
Advances in Space Research, 2016Abstract Selecting optimal satellites for positioning calculation is a basic problem for the positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) applications with Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), and the Geometric Dilution of Precision (GDOP) is a key index to handle this problem.

Some remarks on geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) at user level in multi-GNSS positioning
Advances in Space Research, 2018Abstract The geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) is an important index with positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) applications. In multi-GNSS positioning, the system time offsets between different systems can be determined at user level, namely, calculated by the receiver at the cost of at least one additional satellite from each additional ...

Geometric Formulas for Dilution of Precision Calculations
Navigation, 1990This paper derives geometric formulations for computing dilutions of precision (DOPs), such as GDOP, PDOP, and HDOP. These formulations are in terms of volumes, areas, and lengths determined by the unit vectors pointing from the receiver to the satellites. They often result in very efficient computer algorithms for computing the DOP quantities.

Geometric Dilution of Precision for Far-Distance TDOA Location of Shortwave
2021 2nd Information Communication Technologies Conference (ICTC), 2021A method of time difference of arrival (TDOA) location for shortwave signal source by four receiving stations is introduced. The precision of time difference and the Geometric Dilution of Precision (GDOP) of TDOA location are analyzed and simulated. The results show that TDOA estimation performance is positively correlated with signal bandwidth, signal
