Parameter Estimation and Application of Generalized Inflated Geometric Distribution
A count data that have excess number of zeros, ones, twos or threes are commonplace in experimental studies. But these inflated frequencies at particular counts may lead to overdispersion and thus may cause difficulty in data analysis.

The Exponential-Generalized Truncated Geometric (EGTG) Distribution: A New Lifetime Distribution
International audienceThis paper introduces a new two-parameter lifetime distribution, called the exponential-generalized truncated geometric (EGTG) distribution, by compounding the exponential with the generalized truncated geometric distributions.

Evolution of Aerosol Particles in the Rainfall Process via Method of Moments
The method of moments is employed to predict the evolution of aerosol particles in the rainfall process. To describe the dynamic properties of particle size distribution, the population balance equation is converted to moment equations by the method of ...

Geometric Distributions in the Theory of Queues
SUMMARY First a new explanation in probability terms is given for the occurrence of geometric or conditional geometric distributions in some queueing problems. The methods used allow some simple but useful generalizations to be obtained.

A distributed geometric rewiring model
AbstractWe propose a distributed rewiring model which starts with a planar graph embedded into the Euclidean space and then behaves as a distributed system, where each node is provided with a set of dynamic links. The proposed rewiring evolves through cycles, where nodes explore the network to identify possible shortcuts and rewire their dynamic links.

On some properties of the geometric distribution
In this note, a necessary and sufficient condition for the n-divisibility of a random variable (r.v.) with support contained in {0, 1, 2,...} is given. Next a characterization of the geometric distribution is obtained.
