New Applications of Differential Subordination Theory Concerning Fractional Integrals of Gaussian Hypergeometric Functions

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In the present research, necessary and sufficient conditions for the univalence of the fractional integral of the Gaussian hypergeometric function are obtained by employing specific approaches from differential subordination theory.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Optimization of the Production of Rubber Compounds Using Mathematical Models

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Rubber compounds were mixed in a batch internal mixer, and symbolic regression was used to derive mathematical models linking recipe and process parameters to ram path, torque, and mixing quality (incorporation, dispersion, distribution). Subsequent optimization with evolutionary algorithms identified operating conditions that reduce specific energy ...

Exploring q-Fibonacci Numbers in Geometric Function Theory: Univalence and Shell-like Starlike Curves

open access: yesMathematics
Emphasising their connection with shell-like star-like curves, this work investigates a new subclass of star-like functions defined by q-Fibonacci numbers and q-polynomials.

Workflow for Design of Experiments‐Based Modeling of Species Transport and Growth Kinetics in GaN Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Ontology‐Aligned Structuring and Reuse of Multimodal Materials Data and Workflows Toward Automatic Reproduction

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Reproduction of stacking fault energy calculations from literature with a semi‐automated large language model‐assisted extraction procedure: extraction of simulation protocol, atomistic structures, computational parameters, and reported results, ontology alignment, knowledge graph construction and, finally, recomputation forvalidation.

Nekrasov's Partition Function and Refined Donaldson-Thomas Theory: the Rank One Case

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2012
This paper studies geometric engineering, in the simplest possible case of rank one (Abelian) gauge theory on the affine plane and the resolved conifold.

Geometrical perspective on spin–lattice density-functional theory

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics
A recently developed viewpoint on the fundamentals of density-functional theory for finite interacting spin–lattice systems that centers around the notion of degeneracy regions is presented. It allows for an entirely geometrical description of the Hohenberg–Kohn theorem and v-representability.

Soft Mechanical‐Electrical Logic Using Liquid Metal‐Filled 3D‐Printed Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We present 3D‐printed soft mechanical–electrical logic elements that use liquid metal–filled silicone tubes actuated by thermoplastic polyurethane/polylactic acid (TPU/PLA) architectures to produce Boolean operations. Complementary normally open and normally closed unit cells perform repeatable binary transitions and can be combined into more complex ...

Certain Geometric Properties of Normalized Euler Polynomial

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this paper, we introduce and investigate a new class of analytic functions generated by Euler polynomials through a suitable normalization. Using classical tools from geometric function theory, including coefficient monotonicity, Fejér-type ...
