Approximating the average stretch factor of geometric graphs
Let G be a geometric graph whose vertex set S is a set of n points in ℝd. The stretch factor of two distinct points p and q in S is the ratio of their shortest-path distance in G and their Euclidean distance.

A Knowledge‐Based Approach for Understanding and Managing Additive Manufacturing Data
Additive manufacturing processes generate a large amount of data. Effectively managing, understanding, and retrieving information from this data remains a major challenge. Therefore, we propose an ontology‐based approach to integrate heterogeneous data, enable semantic queries, and support decision‐making.

Clique Colourings of Geometric Graphs [PDF]
A clique colouring of a graph is a colouring of the vertices such that no maximal clique is monochromatic (ignoring isolated vertices). The least number of colours in such a colouring is the clique chromatic number. Given $n$ points $\mathbf{x}_1, \ldots,\mathbf{x}_n$ in the plane, and a threshold $r>0$, the corresponding geometric graph has vertex

Surface Tension Measurement of Ti‐6Al‐4V by Falling Droplet Method in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
In this article, the temperature‐dependent surface tension of free falling, oscillating Ti‐6Al‐4V droplets is investigated in both argon and monosilane doped, oxygen‐free atmosphere. Droplet temperature and oscillation are captured with one single high‐speed camera, and the surface tension is calculated with Rayleigh's formula.

An anomalous topological phase transition in spatial random graphs
Clustering–the tendency for neighbors of nodes to be connected–quantifies the coupling of a complex network to its latent metric space. In random geometric graphs, clustering undergoes a continuous phase transition, separating a phase with finite ...
