Convex multivariate operator means

open access: yes, 2018
The dominant method for defining multivariate operator means is to express them as fix-points under a contraction with respect to the Thompson metric. Although this method is powerful, it crucially depends on monotonicity.

A Compact Spin‐Coated Graphene UWB Antenna for Breast Tumor Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A compact, spin‐coated graphene ultra‐wideband patch antenna designed for breast tumor detection, capable of distinguishing between malignant and benign tumors. This innovative antenna can serve as an effective initial screening tool, particularly in resource‐limited settings such as rural areas, where access to advanced medical equipment like MRI and ...

Trace inequalities for positive operators via recent refinements and reverses of Young’s inequality

open access: yesSpecial Matrices, 2018
In this paper we obtain some trace inequalities for positive operators via recent refinements and reverses of Young’s inequality due to Kittaneh-Manasrah, Liao-Wu-Zhao, Zuo-Shi-Fujii, Tominaga and Furuichi.

Prediction of Surface Topography Parameters in Direct Laser Interference Patterning of Stainless Steel Using Infrared Monitoring and Convolutional Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents an infrared monitoring approach for direct laser interference patterning (DLIP) combined with a convolutional neural network (CNN). Thermal emission data captured during structuring are used to predict surface topography parameters.

Clausius/Cosserat/Maxwell/Weyl Equations: The Virial Theorem Revisited [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In 1870, R. Clausius found the virial theorem which amounts to introduce the trace of the stress tensor when studying the foundations of thermodynamics, as a way to relate the absolute temperature of an ideal gas to the mean kinetic energy of its ...

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

General covariant geometric momentum, gauge potential and a Dirac fermion on a two-dimensional sphere

open access: yes, 2019
For a particle that is constrained on an ($N-1$)-dimensional ($N\geq2$) curved surface, the Cartesian components of its momentum in $N$-dimensional flat space is believed to offer a proper form of momentum for the particle on the surface, which is called

EBSD Study of Creep‐Induced Lattice Misorientation in MgO‐Particle‐Reinforced Austenitic Steel Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

On a New Class of Meromorphic Multivalent Functions Defined by Fractional Differ-integral Operator

open access: yesJournal of Kufa for Mathematics and Computer, 2018
In this work, we submite and study a newlclass of meromorphiccmultivalent functions defined by fractional differ-integral operator . We gain some geometric properties , such as, coefficient inequality, growth and distortion bounds, convolution properties,

About Lorentz invariance in a discrete quantum setting

open access: yes, 2004
A common misconception is that Lorentz invariance is inconsistent with a discrete spacetime structure and a minimal length: under Lorentz contraction, a Planck length ruler would be seen as smaller by a boosted observer.
