New AI‐Assisted Approach for Expanding the Solution Space: Application to Lattice Structure Design
This work introduces an innovative framework for designing structured materials by ex panding the design space through reparameterization of qualitative variables into continuous structural descriptors. Combined with machine‐learning‐based prediction and multi‐objective optimization, the approach enables the discovery of novel lattice architectures ...

Architecture‐Driven Sensor Stability in Weft‐Knitted Engineering Textiles
Textile‐integrated sensor architectures are systematically compared to evaluate their electromechanical behavior under combined mechanical and environmental loading. Pocket‐based integration exhibits stable and reproducible signals, whereas tunnel‐based routing shows higher sensitivity accompanied by increased variability.

An explicit constitutive reconstruction framework enables accurate tensile characterization of miniaturized additively manufactured specimens using only the grip‐to‐grip displacement measurements. Progressive validation through self‐consistency, analytical comparison, and inverse finite element method (iFEM) benchmarking demonstrates constitutive ...

About the causes of the bearing capacity loss of a composite beam under three-point bending
This article considers the results of an experimental and numerical study of the three-point bending problems of a composite specimen (beam). The numerical analysis of the beam behavior, in a physically and geometrically nonlinear statement of the ...

Dynamic simulation of columns considering geometric nonlinearity [PDF]
Dealing with slender structural columns will make the use of classic elastic dynamic analysis of structures untrustworthy. This will emphasize the importance of developing a method for dynamic analysis of structures taking geometric nonlinearities into ...

This study explores the discrepancies between bulk mechanics and spatial mapping in a tissue‐mimetic hydrogel model. Microplastic particles create localized stiff mechanical microenvironments that are detectable by cellular‐scale nanoindentation but leave bulk properties unchanged as measured by rheology.

Testing for ARCH in the Presence of Nonlinearity of Unknown Form in the Conditional Mean [PDF]
Tests of ARCH are a routine diagnostic in empirical econometric and financial analysis. However, it is well known that misspecification of the conditional mean may lead to spurious rejections of the null hypothesis of no ARCH.

Binder‐free laser powder bed fusion of 8YSZ with a femtosecond laser is used to map process windows linking scan strategy, heat accumulation, and grain growth. Time‐resolved thermography and simulations reveal thermal regimes that enable continuous, vitrified, and fine‐grained 8YSZ surface layers without absorptive additives and demonstrate ...
