Functionally graded metal–ceramic femoral stems are engineered through continuous UMAT‐based stiffness tailoring, eliminating discrete material interfaces while enhancing biomechanical compatibility. Low‐index power‐law gradation optimizes load transfer, reduces stress shielding, and controls implant–bone micromotion, highlighting a materials‐design ...

A Two-Stage Spatio-Geometrical clustering of football team shape for post-match review
The increasing availability of spatio-temporal data in football has enabled advanced Post-Match Review techniques that analyze team performance from both individual and collective perspectives. While traditional approaches focus on individual player metrics, this study introduces a novel spatio-geometrical method for analyzing team shape dynamics.

New AI‐Assisted Approach for Expanding the Solution Space: Application to Lattice Structure Design
This work introduces an innovative framework for designing structured materials by ex panding the design space through reparameterization of qualitative variables into continuous structural descriptors. Combined with machine‐learning‐based prediction and multi‐objective optimization, the approach enables the discovery of novel lattice architectures ...

V3Reg: Model Integrating Visual Information for Extreme Low Overlap Point Cloud Registration
Extremely low overlap leads to severely scarce local geometric correspondences across frame pairs. Pure geometric descriptors—encoding merely low-level shape signatures—inherently fail to impose sufficient constraints for reliable transformation ...

In situ synchrotron high‐energy X‐ray diffraction reveals the real‐time high‐temperature phase evolution of a ternary V‐9Si‐6.5B alloy. The study uncovers a kinetically delayed V5SiB2 → V8SiB4 transformation governed by massive structural and chemical barriers.

Abstract Flexible and compact shape representation schemes are essential for design optimization problems. Current shape representation schemes for coronary stent designs concern predominantly idealized or independent ring (IR) designs, which are outdated and only consider a small number of core design variables (such as strut width ...

Digitalizing electroplating requires both domain knowledge and interoperability. This work introduces PlatOn, a domain ontology for trivalent chromium plating and coating characterization, and a hybrid pipeline that aligns it to a mid‐level reference ontology by combining eight similarity metrics with language model reasoning. Expert‐validated mappings

During creep of a single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloy, the overall crystal orientation is observed to remain constant while the microstructure evolves. Despite the lack of macroscopic rotation, small (<1°) rotations are observed on the submicron size scale and are accommodated by counteracting rotations over the scale of several micrometers.
