On periodic homeomorphisms of spheres
The purpose of this paper is to study how small orbits of periodic homemorphisms of spheres can be.Comment: Published by Algebraic and Geometric Topology at http://www.maths.warwick.ac.uk/agt/AGTVol1/agt-1-22.abs ...

3D‐Printed Architected Material for the Generation of Foam‐Based Protective Equipment
This study investigates 3D‐printed architected structures as alternatives to traditional foams in protective gear. It focuses on customizing impact strength and damping through design and manufacturing integration. Testing shows these structures outperform conventional foams, offering enhanced customizability, lower weight, and tunable performance ...

Topology Unveiled: A New Horizon for Economic and Financial Modeling
Sinceits introduction in the 19th century to address geometric problems, topology as a methodology has undergone a series of evolutions, encompassing branches of geometric topology, point-set topology (analytic topology), algebraic topology, and ...

Geometric construction of spinors in orthogonal modular categories [PDF]
A geometric construction of Z_2-graded orthogonal modular categories is given. Their 0-graded parts coincide with categories previously obtained by Blanchet and the author from the category of tangles modulo the Kauffman skein relations.

Embedding geometric lattices with topology
\textit{W. M. Kantor}, J. Comb. Theory, Ser.

Primary phases and a fatigue crack are studied in a forged blank of an aluminum alloy using synchrotron and laboratory X‐ray computed tomography. To image the crack, the fatigue test is interrupted, and a static tensile load is applied to open the crack.

Hopf algebras up to homotopy and the Bockstein spectral sequence [PDF]
Anick proved that every q-mild Hopf algebra up to homotopy is isomorphic to a primitively-generated chain Hopf algebra. We provide a new proof, that involves extensive use of the Bockstein spectral sequence.Comment: Published by Algebraic and Geometric ...

This study presents a 3D representative volume element‐based simulation approach to predict mesoscopic residual stress and strain fields in silicon solid solution‐strengthened ductile cast iron. By modeling phase transformation kinetics with an enhanced Johnson–Mehl–Avrami–Kolmogorov model, the effects of varying cooling rates on residual stresses are ...

Cubic Bézier curves are used in the synthesis of novel surface‐based metamaterials with tunable mechanical properties. Surface‐based geometries are 3D printed and tested in compression. The resulting mechanical properties are correlated to changes in the shape of the base curve, with high potential in energy absorption through the adjustment of their ...

Smith Theory for algebraic varieties
We show how an approach to Smith Theory about group actions on CW-complexes using Bredon cohomology can be adapted to work for algebraic varieties.Comment: Published by Algebraic and Geometric Topology at http://www.maths.warwick.ac.uk/agt/AGTVol4/agt ...
