Geometric Accuracy Evaluation of GF-7 Image

2021 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium IGARSS, 2021
We selected a scene of “GF-7” satellite multispectral rear-view camera image in Chengdu, Sichuan Province of China. At the same time, we take 26 high-precision GPS sampling points evenly distributed in the region as control points, and make statistics on the geometric positioning accuracy of images.

The accuracy of geometric approximation of the mammilla in mammograms

International Congress Series, 2003
Abstract The mammilla is an important landmark when judging mammograms. A method of finding the mammilla used by radiologists and within computer-aided mammography is based on the geometrical assumption that the mammilla is located at the point on the breast border that has the furthest distance perpendicular to the pectoralis muscle. This assumption

The question of accuracy with geometric camera calibration

2009 Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2009
In the field of machine vision, camera calibration refers to the experimental determination of a set of parameters which describe the image formation process for a given analytical model of the machine vision system. An accurate, reliable calibration procedure is essential for most industrial machine vision applications including mechanical metrology ...

Geometric Accuracy of Intravascular Ultrasound Imaging

Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, 1992
In spite of the current interest in and clinical application of intravascular ultrasound imaging, there is very little published information on the limitations of this modality. In vitro studies on nine phantom vessels (diameter 4.76 to 12.7 mm) and 11 human arteries (diameter 3.7 to 6.2 mm) were performed to assess the potential sources of error of ...

Accuracy of Geometric Channel-Modeling Methods

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2004
When constructing a propagation channel model, a substitute is often created by giving an arbitrary shape or form to scatterer distributions based on its intuitive appeal for a certain radio environment. However, such models do not necessarily represent the actual propagation process and may yield inaccurate results. The main objective of this paper is

Enhancing machining rate and geometrical accuracy in electrochemical micromachining of Co-Ni-Cr-W superalloy

, 2020
Electrochemical micromachining (EMM) process is a contactless versatile electroforming process, used to fabricate highly precise micro-features and complex contours with the desired surface finish. In this research work, a fabricated-tapered hollow tool (

A geometric approach to subpixel registration accuracy

Computer Vision, Graphics, and Image Processing, 1987
A method for estimating the translation offset between a pair of images to subpixel accuracy is described and analyzed. This method assumes the extraction of a digital edge representing a straight line in the image and then computes the best real line which could have given rise to the digital line.

Geometric Accuracy of Three-Dimensional Molecular Overlays

Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling, 2006
This study examines the dependence of molecular alignment accuracy on a variety of factors including the choice of molecular template, alignment method, conformational flexibility, and type of protein target. We used eight test systems for which X-ray data on 145 ligand-protein complexes were available.
