In a recent paper Tsuji [1952] has given some theorems which may be considered as a generalization to Fuchsian groups of the classical theorems of Blichfeldt [1914] and Minkowski in the geometry of numbers. In both cases, however, the generalization is restricted to circular domains.

Primary phases and a fatigue crack are studied in a forged blank of an aluminum alloy using synchrotron and laboratory X‐ray computed tomography. To image the crack, the fatigue test is interrupted, and a static tensile load is applied to open the crack.

Monopoles, scattering, and generalized symmetries
We reconsider the problem of electrically charged, massless fermions scattering off magnetic monopoles. The interpretation of the outgoing states has long been a puzzle as, in certain circumstances, they necessarily carry fractional quantum numbers.

In this research, ZrC coatings are evaluated against various counterprobes at the microscale using novel super‐stiff atomic force microscopy cantilevers. The chemical composition of the coating is shown to be an important factor influencing coating hardness and Young's modulus, while surface roughness, counterprobe hardness, and surface energy are the ...

CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING THE EMOTIONAL FACTOR IN ERGONOMICS AND DESIGN
Considering the quick development in technology, it is more and more necessary to place the problem of studying the effects of the emotions created, both in terms of design and ergonomics.

In this paper we study associative algebras with a Poisson algebra structure on the center acting by derivations on the rest of the algebra. These structures, which we call Poisson fibred algebras, appear in the study of quantum groups at roots of 1 and related algebras, as well as in the representation theory of affine Lie algebras at the critical ...

We describe a number of geometric contexts where categorification appears naturally: coherent sheaves, constructible sheaves and sheaves of modules over quantizations.

Subgrain and Cavity Development during Creep of Al‐3.85%Mg
Al‐3.85%Mg does form subgrains if crept at very high strains. This fact allows the unification of the creep description in two different alloys such as pure Al and Al–Mg alloys. It is classically considered that the creep mechanisms for type M (e.g., pure Al) and type A alloys (e.g., Al–Mg alloys) are different.
