Topology, geometry and quantum interference in condensed matter physics
The methods of quantum field theory are widely used in condensed matter physics. In particular, the concept of an effective action was proven useful when studying low temperature and long distance behavior of condensed matter systems.

Review: Fractal Geometry in Precipitation
Rainfall, or more generally the precipitation process (flux), is a clear example of chaotic variables resulting from a highly nonlinear dynamical system, the atmosphere, which is represented by a set of physical equations such as the Navier–Stokes ...

Self-supporting structure design in additive manufacturing through explicit topology optimization
One of the challenging issues in additive manufacturing (AM) oriented topology optimization is how to design structures that are self-supportive in a manufacture process without introducing additional supporting materials. In the present contribution, it

Ultrahigh Piezoelectricity in Truss‐Based Ferroelectric Ceramics Metamaterials
By leveraging the unique combination of polarization direction and loading state, ultrahigh piezoelectricity is achieved through careful tuning of the relative density and scaling ratio in truss‐based ferroelectric metamaterials. This approach enables the simultaneous realization of extremely high piezoelectric constants and ultralow dielectric ...

A survey on the geometry of production models in economics
In this article we survey selected recent results on the geometry of production models, focussing on the main production functions that are usually analyzed in economics, namely homogeneous, homothetic, quasi-sum and quasi-product production functions.

A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.

This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

An algorithm to detect laminar 3-manifolds
We show that there are algorithms to determine if a 3-manifold contains an essential lamination or a Reebless foliation.Comment: Published by Geometry and Topology at http://www.maths.warwick.ac.uk/gt/GTVol7/paper8.abs ...
