Abstract We estimate the fault geometry and coseismic slip of the 2025 Myanmar earthquake using multi‐source satellite observations, revealing a nine‐segment rupture structure that transitions from eastward‐dipping in the north to westward‐dipping in the south, with peak slip of ∼6 m and negligible shallow slip deficit.

The longitudinal profile of the river bears geomorphic signature of long-term fluvial adjustment to tectonic, structure, lithology, and climate. Therefore, analysis of the longitudinal profile can be helpful in understanding the fluvial process and the ...

Modeling Particle Transport Distances as a Function of Slope and Surface Roughness [PDF]
Significant effort has been put into modeling the evolution of hillslope profiles through time. The models use a continuum approach and are commonly deterministic.

Late Holocene palaeohydrological changes in the lower Narmada Basin, India, revealed using multiproxy analyses of the Orsang River terrace sediments. Distinct depositional phases corresponding to global climatic events were recorded. High‐magnitude floods in the Narmada River during the MWP, and within the tributary Orsang River during DACP and LIA ...

This figure provides the elevation distribution of Trichoptera and Ephemeroptera across the elevational gradient and clearly shows how specific morphospecies can be used as indicators. ABSTRACT The subtropical rainforests of eastern Australia are expected to be greatly affected by climate change, with several studies predicting an upward shift in ...

Abstract Understanding spatial variation in grassland productivity is critical for ecological modeling and management. The Great Plains of North America, a vast grassland region east of the Rocky Mountains, exhibits strong gradients in aboveground net primary production (ANPP) linked to precipitation and finer scale topoedaphic variation.

We provide a geomorphological analysis of Cordillera Vilcanota and use morphostratigraphic principles to reconstruct palaeo icefield extent and palaeoglacier readvances, likely during the Antarctic Cold Reversal and Younger Dryas. We find evidence of temperate and polythermal ice margins, with limited glaciofluvial landform generation.

Geomorphic and landform survey of Northern Appennine Range (NAR) [PDF]
The author has identified the following significant results. An approach to landslide hazard detection was developed through the analysis of satellite imagery (LANDSAT 2) showing many landslide areas that occur on marine silts and clays in northern ...

Sub‐annual spatiotemporal dynamics of sediment and organic matter storage in beaver ponds
Ponds higher up the beaver cascades showed increasing erosion of sediments following heavier rainfall events, whereas those further down showed increasing sediment accretion. Following periods with less intense rainfall all ponds showed net sediment accretion.
