The sternal pore areas of geophilomorph centipedes (Chilopoda: Geophilomorpha)
Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society, 1995Abstract Most geophilomorph centipedes have segmental clusters of exocrine glands whose opening pores are arranged in more or less well-defined sternal pore areas. We describe here the cuticular structures forming and/or accompanying the gland openings on the sternites and the shape of the pore areas along the body axis in representatives of most ...

The first Taeniolinum from the Andes Mountains and Colombia (Chilopoda: Geophilomorpha)
Zootaxa, 2018Taeniolinum neusicus sp. n. is described based on 148 specimens collected at the eastern Colombian Andes. Detailed data on environmental and biological preferences are included in the description. The validity of characters such as the number of labral teeth and the clypeal setae to separate Taeniolinum species is also evaluated.

Himantariella scutellaris Brolemann, 1926 has previously been considered a French endemic species from the eastern Pyrenees. New collecting data from the Spanish Pre-Pyrenees, the Prelitoral Mountain Range and the Cantabric Region, make it possible to expand its known distribution to the northern Iberian Peninsula.

Sperm dimorphism in Chilopoda: comparison of Scolopendromorpha and Geophilomorpha
Invertebrate Reproduction & Development, 1999Summary Micro- and macrospermatozoa were found in the male genital duct and female spermatheca of Scolopendra cingulata (Scolopendromorpha), whereas sperm dimorphism was not encountered in Himantarium gabrielis (Geophilomorpha). On the basis of ultrastructural analysis, the micro-and macrosperm of S. cingulata and the single sperm type of H.

The Mecistocephalidae of the Japanese and Taiwanese islands (Chilopoda: Geophilomorpha)
Zootaxa, 2007We present a comprehensive taxonomic revision of the Mecistocephalidae occurring in the Japanese main archipelago and in Taiwan, based on both the critical analysis of published information and the comparative morphological examination of representative specimens, including type material. A total of 34 species in 8 genera are recognised.

On the identity of the centipede Sogona cyclareata Attems, 1947 (Geophilomorpha, Geophilidae)
Zootaxa, 2020The type material of Sogona cyclareata Attems, 1947 is revised. The syntype shares characters with representatives of the family Schendylidae and not the Geophilidae to which it is currently assigned. The species has the claw of the second maxillae pectinate and the labrum not divided into median and lateral portions.
