Different failure modes observed in Tishreen tunnel include Floor heave, wall spalling, crashing of slab, and lining convergence reaching the failure limit. Abstract Squeezing phenomena can lead to severe loads in deep tunnels, especially in the presence of a low ratio of surrounding rock strength to overburden pressure.

Seismic performance of concrete tunnel–sand–pile interaction by the shake table test
This research presents the square root sum of squares response of displacements and tunnel moments under the Kobe and Loma Prieta seismic excitations with a peak ground acceleration of 0.05 g for various dry relative densities of local sand in Bangladesh.

A review of multiscale numerical modeling of rock mechanics and rock engineering
Multiscale numerical methods of rock mechanics and rock engineering are reviewed, and the review results show that more attention should be paid to the development of an advanced constitutive model in addition to numerical techniques themselves. Abstract Rock is geometrically and mechanically multiscale in nature, and the traditional phenomenological ...

The Fobinso granitoids are granodiorites, while the Esuajah granitoids are granites based on their mineralogical composition. The granitoids are generally enriched in LILE and LREE than HFSE, MREE, and HREE, indicating mixing with crustal sources during their evolution.
