Submarine depositional terraces at Salina Island (Southern Tyrrhenian Sea) and implications on the Late-Quaternary evolution of the insular shelf [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The integrated analysis of high-resolution multibeam bathymetry and single-channel seismic profiles around Salina Island allowed us to characterize the stratigraphic architecture of the insular shelf.

Morphoevolutive drivers on a rapidly‐evolving soft rocky cliff and connected shore platform system

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 50, Issue 8, 30 June 2025.
A multi‐source approach combining UAV surveys, optical satellite images and meteo‐marine data identifies key morphoevolutive drivers on a soft rocky cliff system. Results highlight the role of lithology and structure as primary controls, with marine and rainfall forcing acting as preparatory agents in a rapidly evolving coastal landscape.

Planning and optimizing neutering programs for free‐roaming cat populations: An interactive tool for cost‐effective management in closed systems

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 62, Issue 6, Page 1421-1436, June 2025.
Our interactive tool enables data‐driven planning of neutering programs, helping stakeholders optimize resource allocation and improve long‐term outcomes. This approach enhances management effectiveness and can be adapted to similar closed systems, offering a scalable solution for balancing ecological and societal concerns.

Suspended transport of gravel in rivers: Empirical evidence from the 2022 flood in the Misa River (Eastern Apennines, Italy)

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 50, Issue 6, May 2025.
In September 2022, a high‐magnitude flood in the Misa River (Italy) transported gravel in suspension, depositing it on superelevated terraces. This was driven by high water discharge, increased fluid density and an entrenched channel limiting widening.
