Automated three‐dimensional georadar acquisition
SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 1997, 1997A self-tracking laser theodolite with automatic target recognition capabilities has been adapted to serve as a real-time positioning system for the acquisition of three-dimensional (3-D) georadar data. This surveying system provides complete coordinate information with high accuracy.

Falling water tables and deteriorating water quality are the major shallow hydrogeological problems currently facing groundwater management in the Netherlands; the former phenomenon is seriously affecting agriculture and nature conservation, where as shallow contaminated groundwater is a hazard for water supply companies and is also an environmental ...

Numerical modeling of borehole georadar data
GEOPHYSICS, 2002High‐frequency electromagnetic (EM) wave propagation phenomena associated with borehole georadar experiments are complex. To improve our understanding of the governing physical processes, we present a finite‐difference solution of Maxwell's equations in cylindrical coordinates.

Analysis of georadar reflection responses
Proceedings of the 2nd International Workshop onAdvanced Ground Penetrating Radar, 2003., 2004Understanding the nature of the georadar reflection response in terms of the dielectric permittivity and conductivity contrast is important in the realm of interpretation. This motivates the present study, which has the aim to carry out an experiment in a controlled fashion such that the relation can be established between the measurement and the ...
