Use of the GeoRef CD-ROM by Geoscientists
Journal of Geological Education, 1994Faculty and graduate students at Washington State University were surveyed regarding access to geoscience literature before and after the introduction of the GeoRef CD-ROM. These researchers accepted this computerized means of access to the geoscience literature, but continued to consult other pertinent indexes or abstracts.

Missing References on GEOref Search Lists
Journal of Geological Education, 1983A test of the comprehensiveness of the GEOREF data set has established that at least eight percent of the items in the reviewed literature may be missed during a computer search of the data base. This percentage increases when non-reviewed literature items are also included in the search.

Distributed georeferring of remotely sensed Landsat-TM imagery using MPI
1998Remotely-sensed images processing requires a lot of computational resources. Distributed processing is applied in remote sensing in order to reduce spatial or temporal cost by means of using the message passing interface (MPI). In this paper we have implemented a parallel approach to the rectification and restoration process of Landsat images on a ...

GeoReF: Geometric Alignment Across Shape Variation for Category-level Object Pose Refinement
Object pose refinement is essential for robust object pose estimation. Previous work has made significant progress towards instance-level object pose refinement. Yet, category-level pose refinement is a more challenging problem due to large shape variations within a category and the discrepancies between the target object and the shape prior.

Searching GeoRef for Archaeology
2015The subject of archaeology presents a challenge to researchers attempting to find adequate indexing resources. Since there is no one source devoted exclusively to archaeology, librarians are forced to seek out any sources which can serve the researchers' needs.
