Impervious Surface Mapping in Coastal New Hampshire (2005) [PDF]
Estimates of impervious surface acreage in 2005 were generated and compared to prior estimates for 1990 and 2000 for a 48-town region in coastal New Hampshire, including the 42 towns within Zones A and B of the New Hampshire Estuaries Project (NHEP) area.

Climate change‐driven expansion of goosegrass highlights risks to global food production
Climate change is expanding the climatic suitability of Eleusine indica into temperate agricultural regions, increasing its overlap with major soybean and maize production areas. These findings highlight a growing global threat to food security and the need for proactive weed management strategies.

Engineered Gravel Trench Hyporheic Exchange to Create Cold‐Water Thermal Refuges
ABSTRACT Warming rivers are driving a loss or fragmentation of cold‐water habitat and providing the impetus to develop proactive thermal management approaches to maintain suitable habitat in rivers. One innovative approach is through the creation of cold‐water thermal refuges during periods of thermal stress for aquatic species.

Using Fine Sediment Monitoring to Quantify Sand Loading Over Time
ABSTRACT Riverine sand loading can lead to geomorphic change, impacting river processes like lateral migration and vertical aggradation or degradation. Yet many sediment monitoring programs track only fine sediment measurable as total suspended solids (TSS). Here, we assess the ability for TSS data to be used to determine sand loading.

TLS data georeferencing - error sources and effects
Depending on the requirements of a certain engineering task, point coordinates obtained through terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) can be either in a scanner coordinate system (CS) or in the coordinate system of a geodetic control network. When point coordinates in some external CS are needed point cloud georeferencing must be done, i.e.
