Flow characteristics and pressure loss mechanisms of a reverse circulation converter in dual‐wall drill pipes are systematically investigated using CFD and response surface methodology. The results reveal the dominant role of inertial dissipation and provide a predictive framework for optimizing converter design and operational parameters. ABSTRACT The

The deep sea energy park: harvesting hydrothermal energy for seabed exploration
Modern society is in growing need of natural resources. Energy security remains one of the greatest challenges that we face. We need increasing amounts of energy, but it is no longer acceptable to supply it at the expense of the environment.

A novel combined cooling and power generation system is proposed by integrating organic Rankine cycle (ORC) with an absorption heat transformer, which is driven by combining geothermal energy and data center's waste heat. The system using R601a yielded the best overall performance, achieving an exergy efficiency of 40.34% and an annual cost of 130.29 k$

Multifactorial Screening for Fine‐Scale Selection of CCS Industrial Clusters and Hubs in Brazil
ABSTRACT As Brazil moves toward implementing its decarbonization commitments, carbon capture and storage (CCS) hubs are emerging as a key pathway for large‐scale CO2 abatement in hard‐to‐abate sectors. This paper presents a multifactorial, data‐driven framework to screen and prioritize potential CCS industrial clusters and hubs across Brazilian regions,

Carbonates from Santos Basin revealed U–Pb ages correlated with basalt ages (A), suggesting that they were formed during magmatic events. These events placed hot CO2 in the reservoir, which, when mixed with carbonate‐rich cold water (B), led to thermal convection, enabling the formation of the U contained in the carbonates.

Mesozoic–Cenozoic Thermochronology of the Tarim–Southern Tianshan System, NW China
Tectonothermal history of the Tarim–Southern Tianshan system compared with the major tectonic events at far‐field plate margins. ABSTRACT The Tarim Basin, an oil‐bearing basin in northwest China, is tectonically and sedimentologically linked to the Southern Tianshan Orogenic Belt.

ABSTRACT Like other perialpine basins and glaciated margins, the Geneva Basin in SW Switzerland is characterised by buried tunnel valleys, which are elongated incisions widely attributed to subglacial meltwater erosion beneath continental ice sheets. However, an inclusive understanding of the geological control on the evolution of the glacial landscape
