Passive broad-band seismic measurements for geothermal exploration: the GAPSS experiment
Passive seismological imaging techniques based on either transient (earthquakes) or sustained (background noise) signals can provide detailed descriptions of subsurface attributes as seismic velocity, attenuation, and anisotropy.

Geothermal exploration in SW Switzerland
Several activities ranging from subsurface data analysis, new data acquisition, database infrastructure design and policy making are ongoing in support of the large geothermal exploration effort in the framework of the ‘GEothermie 2020' program in south-western Switzerland (Canton of Geneva).

ABSTRACT This empirical study examines the impact of green finance on economic growth and renewable energy in a group of 76 developing nations in 2010–2019. Results from a cointegration analysis, vector error correction model, and Granger causality test confirm a cointegrating relationship between green finance, renewable energy, economic growth, and ...

Fighting fire with fire: Prebunking with the use of a plausible meta‐conspiracy framing
Abstract Prebunking can be used to pre‐emptively refute conspiracy narratives. We developed a new approach to prebunking – fighting fire with fire – which introduces a plausible ‘meta‐conspiracy’ suggesting that conspiracy theories are deliberately spread as part of a wider conspiracy.

Topology‐based Visual Analysis of Hydrothermal Plumes
Abstract Hydrothermal plumes are turbulent structures of intense heat and mineral smoke that rise and disperse into the deep ocean. Existing models generally characterize these systems as a single axisymmetric plume originating from a point source. However, this assumption breaks down in weakly venting, spatially distributed systems, where low‐flux ...

Abstract Numerical modeling has been widely used to assess the feasibility of geothermal energy development at sites across the world, but modeling applications simulating the potential impacts on shallow hydrothermal resources and surface water are relatively scarce. In this study, we apply the MODFLOW 6 groundwater energy (GWE) code to simulate fully
