Geochemistry in geothermal exploration

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energy Research, 1985
Techniques based on the variations in composition of water, gas and stable isotopes in the liquid and gas phases of the geothermal fluids have been applied for some time now in the major geothermal fields and are now also used regularly in geothermal exploration.

GEOTHERMALCLOUD: MACHINE LEARNING FOR GEOTHERMAL RESOURCE EXPLORATION

open access: yesJournal of Machine Learning for Modeling and Computing, 2022
Geothermal is a renewable energy source that can provide reliable and flexible electricity generation for the world. In the past decade, play fairway analysis (PFA) studies identified that geothermal resources without surface expression (e.g., blind/hidden hydrothermal systems) have vast potential.

Hydrogen (H2) Recovery From Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S): Current Technologies, Challenges, and Future Outlook

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) can be transformed into hydrogen (H2) through several chemical and catalytic processes, offering a promising route for both waste treatment and clean H2 production. This colorless, flammable, and toxic gas is found abundantly in swamps, volcanoes, hot springs, sewages, other natural gas fields, and even in refineries and

Role of Epoxide Functionalization of Amines for Development of Direct Air Capture Sorbents with High Cyclic Working Capacity at Low Desorption Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Appropriate butylene oxide (BO) functionalization of amines (polyethyleneimine (PEI1200 and PEI300) and tris(2‐aminoethyl)amine (TREN)) enables excellent cyclic working capacities (WCcyclic) at low desorption temperatures (40−70°C). Notably, 0.30BO‐PEI300‐SY and 0.54BO‐TREN‐SY show the highest WCcyclic at 45 and 40°C, respectively.
