AFRICAN JOURNAL OF BIOTECHNOLOGY, 2012 This research work involves shoot induction, multiplication of induced shoot and their rooting in Gerbera jamesonii (Gerbera). For shoot induction, apical meristems and vegetative buds were used. Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium containing 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) alone or in combination with indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) was tested.

Complementarity between Orius predators improves control of foliar and flower pests
Pest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 8, Page 4230-4242, August 2025.Orius predators are commonly used against thrips in many crops. Certain species are suggested to be more effective against flower pests, while others may control effectively foliar pests. Here, we show that Orius species combinations may complement each other and effectively control both flower and foliar pests on gerbera.
