Accelerated biological aging (KDM‐BA/PhenoAge) predicts higher multimorbidity risks and 5.3–7.0 life‐years lost in 332,012 UK adults. Those with accelerated aging face 12%–37% increased transition risks to severe health states. Integrating these metrics enables targeted interventions to reduce chronic disease burdens in aging populations.

Gut microbiota composition may influence trajectories of intrinsic capacity throughout life. Factors that positively or negatively impact gut microbiota (determining eubiosis or dysbiosis, respectively) can affect health, potentially acting through short‐chain fatty acids and their metabolic and anti‐inflammatory functions.
