The object of research is the rapeseed, which is the first among oilseeds by the volume of sowing. One of the most problematic places of the agricultural complex is an increase in the quantity and quality of the seed material. To solve this problem, scientists and agricultural specialists use various methods, preferring optical radiation – pre-sowing ...

Background. Acidic soils account for about 50% of all cultivated lands in the world. The yield of wheat grain can increase up to 50% with a decrease in acidity from 4.9 to 6.2. In this regard it is relevant to assess the varietal reaction of winter wheat seed germs to changes in the acidity level of the growing environment. Purpose.

Photocatalytic treatment of glyphosate herbicide in agricultural wastewater is achieved through the cooperative effect of the local polarization field and dipole field mediated by lattice‐distorted carbon nitride. Glyphosate is completely degraded via selective C─P bond cleavage with a CO evolution rate of 1166 µmol g−1 h−1.

Mechanism of endocarp-imposed constraints of germination of Lannea microcarpa seeds [PDF]
Lannea microcarpa, a multipurpose tree species from the dry African savanna, sheds seeds that often display inhibition of germination. The underlying mechanism was investigated using seeds processed from fully matured fruits collected from natural stands

Studies on energy metabolism of germinating wheat seeds
The amount of energy dissipated in the form of heat in the metabolic processes carried on during the initial period of the germination of wheat seeds was determined directy by means of an adiabatic microcalorimeter. The total energy simultaneously liberated in the respiration of the investigated seeds was calculated from the carbon-dioxide production ...
