To Determine the Effect of Seed Pelleting on Germination Percentage and Rate of Cleome Gynandra L. Seeds.

International Journal of Research and Innovation in Applied Science
Spider plant (Cleome gynandra L.) has small and lightweight seed that experiences low seed germination rates and inconsistent seed yield, which is a menace. Seed pelleting presents a viable solution to improve germination and seedling establishment by addressing planting challenges faced by smallholder farmers that optimize crop performance.

The effect of seed dormancy on percentage and rate of germination in Polygonum persicaria, and its relevance for crop‐weed interaction

Annals of Applied Biology, 1998
SummaryChanges in germination percentage and germination rate of Polygonum persicaria resulting from loss of primary dormancy during chilling of imbibed seeds were quantified. Both percentage and rate of germination increased with increasing loss of dormancy.
