Genetica, 1983 We report here the first chromosome numbers for sea-skaters. Meiotic metaphase figures were obtained from the testes of three littoral species: Asclepios shiranui, Halobates flaviventris and H. robustus and two pelagic species: H. germanus and H. micans.
