AbstractTwo ovigerous females of the brachyuran crab Chaceon mediterraneus Manning & Holthuis, 1989, were captured at two different bottom trawl stations on the lower slope in the Catalan Sea. This is the third record of this species from the Mediterranean Sea, where it seems to be endemic, and the first record from Iberian waters.
