Primary Intraplacental Gestational Choriocarcinoma

International Journal of Gynecological Pathology, 2013
Gestational choriocarcinoma is a highly malignant form of gestational trophoblastic tumors. Placental involvement of the tumor is exceedingly rare. We describe a case of intraplacental choriocarcinoma in a full-term placenta. Microscopically, there were sheets of highly pleomorphic trophoblasts invading the placenta, leaving isolated chorionic villi ...

Gestational Choriocarcinoma with Varied Clinical Presentation and Treatment Outcome: A Case Series

Journal of South Asian Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 2018

Radioimmunoscintigraphic detection of occult gestational choriocarcinoma

American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1987
Localized recurrent gestational choriocarcinoma, evidenced by a rising level of the beta-subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin, can be difficult to localize for surgical resection. We describe a patient with a rising level of the beta-subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin after extensive therapy for choriocarcinoma in which gamma scanning of the ...

Renal Choriocarcinoma

International Journal of Surgical Pathology, 2012
Choriocarcinoma is a rare, highly malignant trophoblastic tumor with gestational or, rarely, germ cell origin. Primary extragenital localization is extremely rare. This report describes a choriocarcinoma case clinically mimicking a primary renal cell carcinoma with multiplex pulmonary metastases. Differentiation from a sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma

Gestational choriocarcinoma.

General & diagnostic pathology, 1998
The malignant transformation of trophoblast is interesting to contemplate, as trophoblast normally behaves in a manner that is interpreted as indicative of malignancy. First of all, trophoblasts show "controlled invasion" at the placental site as part of the normal process of implantation.

[Metastases of gestational choriocarcinoma].

Dakar medical, 1991
The authors cover two cases of gestational choriocarcinoma metastasis with differing clinical profiles, and raise the problem of the diversity of localisations for this affliction. They underline the importance of biology in diagnosis, particularly if the molar abortion is little known, and stress the therapeutical snares, before proposing appropriate ...

Enzymohistochemical study on the gestational choriocarcinoma: histochemistry of choriocarcinoma.

Cancer detection and prevention, 1983
Histochemical investigation of Al-p, HSAP, Ac-p, and LDH was performed with tissues of normal chorionic villi, H. mole, invasive mole, and choriocarcinoma with the following conclusions: 1. In the normal villous tissues, Al-p, HSAP, and Ac-p are localized in syncytiotrophoblast, the former two in the rim of the cell, and the latter inside the cytoplasm.
