THE SPECTRUM OF ISOTROPIC DIFFUSE GAMMA-RAY EMISSION BETWEEN 100 MeV AND 820 GeV [PDF]
The γ-ray sky can be decomposed into individually detected sources, diffuse emission attributed to the interactions of Galactic cosmic rays with gas and radiation fields, and a residual all-sky emission component commonly called the isotropic diffuse γ ...

Spin Density Matrix Elements for Exclusive $\rho^{0}$ Meson Muoproduction at COMPASS
Spin density matrix elements were extracted from COMPASS data for exclusive $\rho^{0}$ meson muoproduction on a liquid hydrogen target. The measurement cover the kinematic range of 1.0 (GeV/$c$)$^2$ $< Q^{2}

Vector Meson Production by Polarized Photons at 2.8-GeV, 4.7-GeV, and 9.3-GeV
We present results on vector-meson photoproduction via γp→Vp in the LBL-SLAC 82-in. hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to a linearly polarized photon beam at 2.8, 4.7, and 9.3 GeV. We find ρ0 production to have the characteristics of a diffractive process, i.e., a cross section decreasing slowly with energy and a differential cross section with slope of ∼

Techni-dilaton at 125 GeV [PDF]
Walking technicolor predicts a light composite scalar, techni-dilaton, arising as a pseudo Nambu-Goldstone boson for the approximate scale symmetry spontaneously broken by techni-fermion condensation. We show that a light techni-dilaton with mass of around 125 GeV can explain presently observed excesses particularly in the di-photon decay channel at ...

Strong Support for the Millisecond Pulsar Origin of the Galactic Center GeV Excess. [PDF]
Using γ-ray data from the Fermi Large Area Telescope, various groups have identified a clear excess emission in the Inner Galaxy, at energies around a few GeV. This excess resembles remarkably well a signal from dark-matter annihilation.

Performance of multiparameter distributions in estimating rainfall extremes and deriving IDF equations in Paraná [PDF]
Frequency analysis of rainfall involves selecting a probabilistic model to represent sample data and perform design estimates. Various probability distributions are available for this purpose, but there is no general consensus on the most appropriate one.
