Cracking the Code: Genotype–Phenotype Correlation Models in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Sarcoglycanopathies are among the most severe limb‐girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMD), though milder presentations have been described. These diseases are primarily caused by missense variants, but the limited predictability of their effect on protein maturation, complex formation, and transport has hindered reliable genotype ...

A Hundred-Year Researching History on the Low Ionic Strength in Red Blood Cells: Literature Review

open access: yes, 2021
This review article provides a critical survey of work from 1904 to 2003 on the effects of low ionic strength in Red Blood Cells (RBCs) incubated in media with impermeable sugars such as sucrose.

SPG4 and Dementia: Expanding the Clinical Spectrum

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) is a group of disorders characterized by progressive spasticity and lower limb weakness, with mutations in SPG4/SPAST being the most common cause. Detailed studies and clinical and molecular comparisons across different populations are missing.

Interaction of Intraprocedural Antiplatelets and Intravenous Thrombolysis in Acute Intracranial Stenting: RESISTANT Registry Subanalysis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction/Objective Acute intracranial stenting during endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for ischemic stroke requires intraprocedural antiplatelet therapy (APT) to maintain patency. However, the hemorrhagic risk of combining APT with intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) remains uncertain.

Combinatorial geometries representable over GF(3) and GF(q). II. Dowling geometries

open access: yes, 1988
Let q be an odd prime power not divisible by 3. In Part I of this series, it was shown that the number of points in a rank-n combinatorial geometry (or simple matroid) representable over GF(3) and GF(q) is at most n2.

Generation of multi-polarity helix transform over GF(3)

open access: yesIEICE Electronics Express, 2004
In this article, the new multi-polarity helix transform for ternary logic functions has been introduced. In addition, an extended dual polarity property that had been used to optimize Kronecker and quaternary Fixed-Polarity Reed-Muller (FPRM) expressions has been applied to generate efficiently the multi-polarity helix transform over GF(3).

Mycophenolate Mofetil Treatment Reduces the Risk of Treatment Escalation Due to Vascular Complications in Limited Cutaneous Systemic Sclerosis: Emulation of a Target Trial From the Italian Rheumatology Society SPRING Registry

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon because of the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

The GF(2) General Linear Group for Dimensions 2, 3, 4, and 5.

open access: yes, 2009
This report contains some data about the General Linear Groups of GF(2) for dimensions 2, 3, 4, and 5. These groups are groups of matrices over GF(2), the integers modulo 2.

A Characterization of the Matroids Representable over GF(3) and the Rationals

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Theory, Series B, 1995
It follows from a fundamental (1958) result of Tutte that a binary matroid is representable over the rationals if and only if it can be represented by a totally unimodular matrix, that is, by a matrix over the rationals with the property that all subdeterminants belong to \(\{0,1, - 1\}\).
