WBAN Channel Modeling for 900 MHz and 60 GHz Communications

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2021
This article deals with the experimental characterization of the on-body propagation channel for applications in wireless body area networks (WBANs). The on-body propagation was studied between two quarter-wavelength monopole antennas in the 900 MHz band

Improved Provenance Constraints for Nanaimo Group Sediments, British Columbia, Canada, Through Zircon LA‐ICP‐MS Depth‐Profiling

open access: yesTectonics, Volume 41, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Detrital zircon from Late Cretaceous rocks of the Insular Superterrane have become an important constraint on Cordilleran paleogeography. These interpretations are largely based on the occurrence of a unique detrital zircon facies characterized by a broad Paleoproterozoic (mode 1.70 Ga) and narrow Mesoproterozoic mode (1.38 Ga) in Cordilleran ...

Seepage and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Gas Leakage under the Condition of CAES Air Reservoir Cracking

open access: yesGeofluids, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
The contradiction between supply and demand of energy leads to more and more attention on the large‐scale energy storage technology; Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) technology is a new energy storage technology that is widely concerned in the world.

A COMPACT DUAL-BAND FLEXIBLE ANTENNA FOR APPLICATIONS AT 900 AND 2450 MHZ

open access: yes, 2021
A dual band flexible antenna for applications at 900 and 2450 MHz is proposed in this paper. The antenna offers a compact size of 0.23λo × 0.120λo × 0.0007λo, where λo is the wavelength at the lower resonance.

Compact Rectifier Circuit Design for Harvesting GSM/900 Ambient Energy

open access: yesElectronics, 2020
In this paper, a compact rectifier, capable of harvesting ambient radio frequency (RF) power is proposed. The total size of the rectifier is 45.4 mm × 7.8 mm × 1.6 mm, designed on FR-4 substrate using a single-stage voltage multiplier at 900 MHz. GSM/900

Muroid rodent phylogenetics: 900-species tree reveals increasing diversification rates

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
We combined new sequence data for more than 300 muroid rodent species with our previously published sequences for up to five nuclear and one mitochondrial genes to generate the most widely and densely sampled hypothesis of evolutionary relationships ...

Combination of ICP‐OES, XRF and XRD techniques for analysis of several dental ceramics and their identification using chemometrics

open access: yesJournal of Spectroscopy, Volume 26, Issue 2, Page 141-149, 2011., 2011
In this paper dental ceramic samples from seven vendors were studied. The elemental composition for each type was investigated using the ICP‐OES and the XRF. Assessment of the seven types of ceramic was also successfully achieved using the XRD spectral data and processed with Principal Component Analysis (PCA).

Toxicology and carcinogenesis studies in Sprague Dawley (Hsd:Sprague Dawley SD) rats exposed to whole-body radio frequency radiation at a frequency (900 MHz) and modulations (GSM and CDMA) used by cell phones.

open access: yesNational Toxicology Program technical report series, 2018
The predominant source of human exposure to radio frequency radiation (RFR) occurs through usage of cellular phone handsets. The Food and Drug Administration nominated cell phone RFR emission for toxicology and carcinogenicity testing in 1999.

Constraints on the FRB rate at 700-900 MHz [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Estimating the all-sky rate of fast radio bursts (FRBs) has been dicult due to smallnumber statistics and the fact that they are seen by disparate surveys in dierent regions of the sky. In this paper we provide limits for the FRB rate at 800 MHz based on
