Serum CTRP3 and CysC correlate with glucose, lipid, and bone metabolism in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with osteoporosis

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
Serum levels of CTRP3 and CysC in elderly patients with T2DM and OP are closely associated with glucose‐lipid metabolism, bone mineral density, and bone metabolism markers. Combined detection of these two markers can assist in distinguishing OP in elderly patients with T2DM.

Risk of end‐stage renal disease in Korean patients with type 2 diabetes according to cumulative low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol levels

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
High cumulative LDL‐C levels increase ESRD risk in type 2 diabetes, particularly among patients using insulin, those receiving multiple antidiabetic medications, and those with longer diabetes duration. Longer exposure to elevated LDL‐C further increases risk, underscoring the need for intensive LDL‐C control.
