G × E models for yield adaptation and target environment analysis in barley (Hordeum vulgare)

open access: yesThe Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2020
The present study was conducted to find out the best stability models out of methods, viz. Eberhart and Russell regression (ER model), yield stability index (YSI), AMMI, unscaled GGE and heritability adjusted GGE (HA-GGE) with target environment ...

Misalignment in Carbon Credit Programmes: Insights From Producer Preferences for Cover Crop and No‐Till Contracts

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines the factors influencing producer adoption of cover cropping and no‐till farming, two key carbon sequestration practices, within the context of voluntary carbon credit programmes (CCPs) in Kansas. Using a mixed‐methods survey that combines discrete choice experiments with farm‐level data from 370 producers, we estimate ...

Reforming Export Control Regimes: Addressing Emerging Technologies Through Responsible Innovation

open access: yesGlobal Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The proliferation of dual‐use emerging technologies—such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, and additive manufacturing—poses a growing challenge for multilateral export control regimes. Designed for tangible goods and slower innovation cycles, existing arrangements increasingly struggle to govern technologies that are ...

Stability, performance and participatory evaluation of potato varieties under rain-fed and irrigation conditions at Southeast, Ethiopia

open access: yesInternational Journal of Agricultural Research, Innovation and Technology
The goal of potato breeding is to develop widely adaptable, highly productive cultivars that farmers would prefer. The objective of this study was to evaluate the performance and stability of potato varieties linking the preferences of smallholder ...

Regulating Autonomous Weapon Systems: Searching for African Solutions to Regional and Global Problems

open access: yesRegulation &Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lethal autonomous weapon systems (LAWS), while offering strategic advantages in warfare, pose significant ethical, legal, and security risks, especially for countries in the Global South. This article examines how a philosophical perspective, rooted in African ethical and political thought, can enrich regional and global debates on regulating ...

Equilibration and GGE for hard wall boundary conditions

open access: yes, 2015
In this work we present an analysis of a quench for the repulsive Lieb-Liniger gas confined to a large box with hard wall boundary conditions. We study the time average of local correlation functions and show that both the quench action approach and the GGE formalism are applicable for the long time average of local correlation functions.
