Many problems consist of a structured grid of points that are updated repeatedly based on the values of a fixed set of neighboring points in the same grid. To parallelize these problems we can geometrically divide the grid into chunks that are processed by different processors.

Dentogenic ghost cell tumour in the mandible
Nederlands Tijdschrift voor Tandheelkunde, 2020A 67-year-old man presented with a swelling on the right side of the mandible. Histopathological investigation of a biopsy revealed a peripheral dentogenic ghost cell tumour. Treatment consisted of thorough excochleation of the abnormality and 2 years after treatment, the patient was free of recurrence.

Ghost cell glaucoma in phakic eyes
International Ophthalmology, 1987We report 3 cases of ghost cell glaucoma all of which occurred in phakic patients with onset between 18 months and 4 years after vitreous haemorrhage. There appears to have been spontaneous disruption of the anterior hyaloid face in all 3 cases. Control of the glaucoma was achieved by medical treatment in one case and by trabeculectomy in two.

Ghost cell glaucoma was first described in 1976 by Campbell and coworkers as a transient secondary open angle glaucoma in which the trabecular meshwork is obstructed by degenerated red blood cells called “ghost cells.” Ghost cells may develop in any remaining red blood cells 7-10 days following vitreous hemorrhage from any etiology.
