Cage‐Cultured Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) Farming: A Third Generation of Pollution in Lake Victoria, Tanzania

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 5, Issue 4, August 2025.
ABSTRACT This study was carried out along the Mwanza Gulf, Lake Victoria, Tanzania, where water samples for the determination of physico‐chemical parameters were collected from March to October 2023. NH4+‐N, NO3−‐N, NO2−‐N, and PO4+‐P were analyzed using standard methods.

An Enlarging Mass Superimposed on a Giant Congenital Melanocytic Nevus: A Case Report and Review of Literature

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 8, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Congenital melanocytic nevi (CMN), arising from the proliferation of melanocytes, manifest at birth and are colloquially termed as bathing trunk, coat‐sleeve, or stocking nevi. These lesions, occurring in approximately 1 to 2% of neonates, predominantly localize over the trunk and thigh regions.

Environmental Features Associated With At‐Sea Sightings of Snow Petrel Pagodroma nivea in East Antarctica

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2025.
Over the last 70 years, seabird populations have declined by up to 70% across the globe. Compared to other seabirds, little is known about Snow Petrels and their marine habitat use—especially in East Antarctica. This study addresses the former knowledge gap while simultaneously comparing how outputs differ when data collection methods vary.

Integrating Temporal and Spatial Dimensions of Alpine Adaptation: Camera‐Trap Insights on Bharal (Pseudois nayaur) in Giant Panda National Park

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2025.
This study integrates infrared camera‐trap data to reveal the spatiotemporal adaptation strategies of bharal (Pseudois nayaur) in China's Giant Panda National Park. We found a 66% reduction in winter activity intensity and a 73% contraction in altitudinal range, demonstrating a dual‐phase strategy of temporal compression and spatial contraction to ...

Rethinking Knowledge Cumulation: Foregrounding Epistemic Justice in Environmental Governance Research

open access: yesEnvironmental Policy and Governance, Volume 35, Issue 4, Page 729-743, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Social science inquiry into environmental governance is theoretically and methodologically diverse, resulting in a large array of isolated pieces of knowledge. Scholars' reflections around knowledge cumulation focus on how separate bits of knowledge can feasibly be integrated to build a broader, consensual state of knowledge.
