When Anton Lang [6, 7] in 1956 demonstrated that non-vernalized biennial Hyoscyamus niger could be brought to flower by application of GA1, it is self-evident that this discovery received much attention. Of course the question arose whether GA would be the flowering-hormone. This turned out not to be true.
