Rate‐Adaptive Site Transformation Catalyst for Parallel Water Dissociation and Hydrogen Adsorption in Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a rate‐adaptive site transformation strategy in Ag‑ethylenediamine intercalated Co9S8, which not only enables parallel water dissociation and H* adsorption, but also allows the catalyst to provide more active sites under high demand, removing a major bottleneck. The catalyst achieves a record current density of 4.2 A cm−2@2.0 V, with

Bayesian analysis of random regression models to model test-day somatic cell score of primiparous Holstein cattle in Iran

open access: yesJournal of Applied Animal Research, 2018
Several functions (Ali-Schaeffer curve, Legendre polynomials, and the combination of Legendre polynomial and the Wilmink function) were used to adjust the lactation curve of somatic cell score (SCS) of primiparous Holstein cows in Iran. Data included 204,

On Measure Concentration of Random Maximum A-Posteriori Perturbations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The maximum a-posteriori (MAP) perturbation framework has emerged as a useful approach for inference and learning in high dimensional complex models. By maximizing a randomly perturbed potential function, MAP perturbations generate unbiased samples from ...

Engineering Hydrogen‐Down Water Configurations for Ampere‐Level Electrochemical CO2 Reduction to Formate

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electrochemical CO2 reduction (ECR) to formate is a promising route for sustainable chemical production. Herein, we report the synthesis catalysed byBi‐HfO2@C. The AIMD simulations, DFT calculations, and in situ SEIRAS measurements show that the modification of HfO2 on the Bi surface steers the interfacial water to adopt a favorable hydrogen‐down (OH2↓)

Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks Deployment Using Improved Self-Organize Map Algorithm

open access: yesCybernetics and Information Technologies, 2014
The traditional Self-Organize Map (SOM) method is used for the arrangement of seabed nodes in this paper. If the distance between the nodes and the events is long, these nodes cannot be victory nodes and they will be abandoned, because they cannot move ...

Revealing the Hidden Role of Cd in p‐Type Mg3Sb2: Enhanced Thermoelectric Performance by Grain Boundary Segregation Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The hidden role of Cd segregation at grain boundaries is revealed in p‐type Mg3Sb2 by atom probe tomography and other advanced characterizations. Grain boundary Cd enrichment suppresses the SbMg+ hole‐killer formation and lowers potential barriers, enhancing electrical conductivity.

Mixed‐Metal Promotion in a Manganese‐Molybdenum Oxynitride as Catalyst to Integrate C─C and C─N Coupling Reactions for the Direct Synthesis of Acetonitrile from Syngas and Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Comparison of Maximum Likelihood Estimation and Bayesian with Generalized Gibbs Sampling for Ordinal Regression Analysis of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome

open access: yesمجله اپیدمیولوژی ایران, 2019
Background and Objectives: Analysis of ordinal data outcomes could lead to bias estimates and large variance in sparse one. The objective of this study is to compare parameter estimates of an ordinal regression model under maximum likelihood and Bayesian
