Unraveling Gibbsite Transformation Pathways into LiAl-LDH in Concentrated Lithium Hydroxide.

Inorganic Chemistry, 2019
Gibbsite (α-Al(OH)3) transformation into layered double hydroxides, such as lithium aluminum hydroxide dihydrate (LiAl-LDH), is generally thought to occur by solid-state intercalation of Li+, in part because of the intrinsic structural similarities in ...

Comparison of alumina supports and catalytic activity of CoMoP/γ-Al2O3 hydrotreating catalysts obtained using flash calcination of gibbsite and precipitation method

, 2020
The influence of alumina precursors on catalytic activity CoMoP/Al2O3 hydrotreating catalysts has been studied. Alumina precursors were prepared by eco-friendly technology including hydrothermal treatment at different stabilization time of a flash ...

Gibbsite and Goethite Solubility

Soil Science Society of America Journal, 2005
2‐Ketogluconate (kG) is a microbial byproduct that has been isolated from the rhizosphere of several plants and has been found to accumulate around bacteria adhering to rock surfaces. It has long been suspected that kG may play a role in enhancing the bioavailability of soil nutrients.

Antimony sorption at gibbsite–water interface

Chemosphere, 2011
Antimony (Sb) is extensively used in flame retardants, lead-acid batteries, solder, cable coverings, ammunition, fireworks, ceramic and porcelain glazes and semiconductors. However, the geochemical fate of antimony (Sb) remained largely unexplored. Among the different Sb species, Sb (V) is the dominant form in the soil environment in a very wide redox ...

Co-transport of U(VI), humic acid and colloidal gibbsite in water-saturated porous media.

Chemosphere, 2019
The release of uranyl from uranium tailing sites is a widely concerned environmental issue, with limited investigations on the effect of coexistence of various colloids.

ADSORPTION OF PHOSPHATE BY GIBBSITE

Journal of Soil Science, 1976
Summary The effects of the nitrate salts of zinc, cadmium, and strontium on the adsorption of phosphate by gibbsite have been measured at pH 5.5 and 25° C. At solution phosphate concentrations greater than 10 μM strontium and cadmium increased phosphate adsorption whilst zinc had no effect.

Hydrothermal process of synthetic gibbsite and the characteristics of Na in gibbsite crystal

Chemical Papers, 2018
The presence of Na in synthetic gibbsite was studied by several modern testing methods such as X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and inductively coupled plasma. Results show that Na is located between gibbsite crystals and is not present as sodium aluminosilicate hydrate in synthetic gibbsite ...

Transformation of Gibbsite to Boehmite in Caustic Aqueous Solution at Hydrothermal Conditions

Crystal Growth & Design, 2019
Phase transformations among aluminum (oxyhydr)oxide minerals play important roles across a wide range of natural and industrial settings. In highly caustic aqueous solutions, uncertainty persists regarding whether solid-state or dissolution ...
