Among other finds, the research carried out at the agora of Nea Paphos by archaeologists from the Jagiellonian University Institute of Archaeology produced two coins of the Julio-Claudian dynasty countermarked in the times of Trajan and Hadrian. Both are large, heavily worn bronzes, probably minted during the reign of Claudius.

New biintercalation GICs. The interaction of benzene with amalgam GICs
Carbon, 1996Abstract The interaction of benzene with ternary GICs MHgC8 (M = K, Rb) has been investigated and new quaternary compounds MHgC8(C6H6)2 were obtained. X-ray data, Fourier transform of 001 reflections and spin-lattice relaxation measurements show that benzene molecules intercalate into the empty galleries of the amalgam GICs.

GIC Modelling for an Overdetermined System
2006 Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2006Geomagnetically induced currents in power systems can cause problems ranging from overload of transformers to power blackout. Modelling can be used to show the GIC flow throughout a power system; however, the modelled GIC values have uncertainties because of the simplifying assumptions.

Methodology for evaluating the impact of GIC and GIC capability of power transformer designs
2013 IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting, 2013When power Transformers are subjected to high levels of GIC, high levels of a short - duration magnetizing current pulse; one per cycle, results. These translate into high levels of VAR swings and significant current harmonics; which are injected into the power system to which the transformer is connected to.

GICS: Generic Interconnection System
2008 International Conference on Field Programmable Logic and Applications, 2008The division of an application between a conventional processor and an acceleration card with FPGA chips has been proved as a suitable way for an acceleration of computationally intensive tasks. In such applications, the designer usually has to implement an interconnection between components placed in FPGA and the host system bus.

Comparison of SS-GIC and MHD-EMP-GIC effects on power systems
IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 1994A comparative study of the effects of solar storm geomagnetically induced currents (SS-GIC) and nuclear detonation geomagnetically induced currents (magnetohydrodynamic electromagnetic pulse GIC or MHD-EMP-GIC) on the power system. The earth surface electric field of the MHD electromagnetic pulse is given to be of the order of 100 V/km, with a duration

Development of a GIC simulator
2014 IEEE PES General Meeting | Conference & Exposition, 2014This paper describes the development of a system for simulation of the geomagnetically induced currents (GIC) produced in a power system. Magnetic field data or a specified electrojet current are used with an Earth conductivity model to calculate the electric fields at the Earth's surface. These electric field values are used as input to a power system
