Climate Transition Risk, ESG Rating Divergence and Portfolio Performance: Evidence From Composite Scores and Climate‐Adjusted Factor Models

open access: yesInternational Journal of Finance &Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates how ESG rating divergences and climate transition risks jointly influence portfolio performance. Using a newly constructed composite Environmental (E) score derived from principal component analysis (PCA) across three leading ESG providers (Eikon, RobecoSAM, Sustainalytics), we build industry‐adjusted portfolios for 389

Experimental Study of the Stability of a Low-Cost C-Band Active Reflector Using Sentinel-1 Imagery

open access: yesIEEE Access
The application of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) interferometry (InSAR) techniques when in the imaged areas the coherence is low and persistent scatterers are missing often demands the installation of artificial reflectors, usually represented by ...

Electrospun Nanofibres for Load‐Bearing Composite Materials—A Review of Techniques, Mechanical Properties and Durability

open access: yesPolymer Composites, EarlyView.
Electrospun nanofibre for load‐bearing composite materials. ABSTRACT Electrospun nanofibres are emerging nanomaterials prized for their scalability, high surface area to volume ratio and yield. Their effectiveness in improving the mechanical properties of fiber reinforced composites is widely reported. Nanofibres could activate multiscale toughness and

Nuclear Magnetohydrodynamic EMP, Solar Storms, and Substorms

open access: yes, 2003
In addition to a fast electromagnetic pulse (EMP), a high altitude nuclear burst produces a relatively slow magnetohydrodynarnic EMP (MHD EMP), whose effects are like those from solar storm geomagnetically induced currents (SS GIC).

Protected and productive: How greenhouses should deliver UK food security

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
The United Kingdom produces less than 20% of its fruit and ~50% of its vegetables, leaving it highly import dependent and vulnerable to supply chain disruptions. Our study maps 2085 ha of existing greenhouses, over 70% more than 40 years old, and identifies where modern infrastructure could expand production.

Comparison of glass ionomer cement and resin as sealing materials: Systematic review of clinical trials [PDF]

open access: yesBalkan Journal of Dental Medicine
Background/Aim: Glass ionomer cements (GIC) are regarded to be an alternative sealing material to Composite Resin (CR), the gold standard of sealing. The aim of this systematic review is to evaluate Glass Ionomer Cements (GIC) in comparison with Resin ...
