ABSTRACT Objective Quantitative assessment of the impact of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection on fetal brain development beyond conventional imaging remains limited. We aimed to quantify cortical gyrification and brain volumes in CMV‐exposed fetuses, compare groups with varying severities of conventional MRI findings, and evaluate postnatal outcomes ...

This illustration shows polyamide 6 (PA6) blended with 20–50% polybutylene succinate (PBS) by volume. The balance between tensile properties, fracture toughness and self‐healing capability is achieved in the 30% vol PBS blend. Thermal healing at 140°C results in 40% fracture toughness recovery in a blend containing 30% vol PBS.

SPDAs and GICs: like money in the bank? [PDF]
We argue that changes in the life insurance industry have created a nontrivial moral hazard. We document the industry's shift from sales of life insurance to sales of mainly rate-of-return oriented investments like single premium deferred annuities ...

ABSTRACT When firms manipulate earnings, investors can be blindsided by sudden and severe share price falls. This paper examines whether stronger Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance helps reduce that risk. Using 4048 firm‐year observations from emerging economies, we test whether ESG performance weakens the harmful link between ...

Revisiting industry effects: The assignment of firms to industries
Abstract Research Summary Strategy research examines the drivers of firm performance. Variance decomposition studies have analyzed industry's impact, with little attention paid to the industry to which a firm is assigned. This study investigates how industry assignment affects the findings about industry's impact.

Does innovation success need advocacy? Stakeholder involvement in firm innovation
Abstract Research Summary Prior research documents that firms often collaborate with advocacy groups to mitigate stakeholder contention. Integrating stakeholder theory into a performance model of collaborative innovation, we propose an overlooked explanation for such collaborations: to enhance the adoption of firms' innovations.

Sodium‐Based Battery Component Design: Imitating Lithium or Forging New Paths?
This Perspective elucidates the decisive yet underexplored impact of cation chemistry, Na+ vs. Li+ charge carriers, on the design, selection, and formulation of their corresponding battery systems, addressing common misconceptions and the pitfalls of overreliance on Li+ design principles. Leveraging the unique characteristics of Na+, it comprehensively
