Incremento no desenvolvimento do porta-enxerto de pessegueiro "Aldrighi" por fungos micorrízicos arbusculares autóctones Development increase of 'Aldrighi' peach rootstocks by indigenous arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi

Promising Application of Automated Liquid Culture System and Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi for Large-Scale Micropropagation of Red Dragon Fruit

open access: yesPlants, 2023
Red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) is an economic and promising fruit crop in arid and semi-arid regions with water shortage. An automated liquid culture system using bioreactors is a potential tool for micropropagation and large-scale production ...

pH measurement of tubular vacuoles of an arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus, Gigaspora margarita [PDF]

open access: yesMycorrhiza, 2014
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi play an important role in phosphate supply to the host plants. The fungal hyphae contain tubular vacuoles where phosphate compounds such as polyphosphate are accumulated. Despite their importance for the phosphate storage, little is known about the physiological properties of the tubular vacuoles in arbuscular mycorrhizal ...

Ação do trifluralin na micorrização e crescimento de plantas de amendoim (Arachis hypogaea) Action of trifluralin on mycorrhization and growth of peanut (Arachis hypogaea) plants

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2010
O amendoim (Arachis hypogaea) é uma planta que durante as fases iniciais do seu desenvolvimento sofre mais intensamente a competição das plantas daninhas, prejudicando sensivelmente sua produção.

Opening the black box: in situ imaging of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal structures in soil using synchrotron‐based micro‐CT

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Summary Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) contribute to plant nutrient and water uptake via their extraradical hyphal networks. However, in situ methodologies to quantify architectural and morphological traits of these networks in soil are largely lacking, limiting our understanding of AMF‐mediated resource transport.

Acaulospora rehmii and Gigaspora margarita, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (Glomeromycota) new for Europe and Poland, respectively

open access: yesActa Mycologica, 2013
Morphological characters of spores of Acaulospora rehmii and Gigaspora margarita (Glomeromycota) were described and illustrated. Spores of the two species were found in field-collected mixtures of rhizosphere soil and roots collected in Poland.

The 3D genome of Gigaspora margarita unveils stable chromatin and nucleolar organization and symbiont‐dependent genome dynamics

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 251, Issue 5, Page 2799-2817, September 2026.
Summary Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are widespread plant symbionts that enhance nutrient acquisition and influence ecosystem productivity. Previous chromosome‐level assemblies of the model species Rhizophagus irregularis revealed a two‐compartment genome architecture (active A and repressed B chromatin compartments), yet its conservation across ...
