Mapping interactions between winter recreationists and an endangered ungulate
Southern mountain caribou are a federally designated species at risk, with declines occurring throughout their range. This species overlaps spatially and temporally in their late‐winter habitats with heli‐skiing, an activity that relies on helicopters to transport skiers to remote mountainous locales.

Evidence supporting the use of serial intralesional steroid injections (ILSIs) as an adjunct therapy for patients with idiopathic subglottic stenosis (iSGS) remains inconclusive. In our prospective study of 75 patients with iSGS, ILSI use was associated with a significantly reduced risk of recurrence (hazard ratio = 0.20; 95% confidence interval 0.08–0.

Abstract Freshwater systems are important sources of atmospheric methane (CH4). However, estimated emissions are associated with high uncertainties due to limited knowledge about the temporal variability in emissions and their associated controls, such as air–water gas transfer velocity.

Revisiting k: Time‐varying stream litter breakdown rates
Abstract Litter decomposition is usually modeled with the negative exponential model, which assumes constant proportional mass loss. We assessed this assumption and its interpretive consequences using 145 stream litter mass loss time series and process‐based simulations.

Calibration of the transparency tube for estimating turbidity in estuarine systems
Abstract Turbidity, quantified in turbidity units (nephelometric or formazin), is a common and valid measure of water quality related to transparency. A transparency tube (TT) is an economical tool developed to estimate water clarity as an alternative to the Secchi disk, but it is also frequently used to estimate turbidity.
