Tiger Shark Bycatch in Gillnets

Tiger Sharks has a global distribution. Fishing practices have become more widespread and careless. Fishermen are abandoning gillnets resulting in bycatch of many marine animals including Tiger Sharks resulting in a decline in their population. The types of gear used is a primary factor in the number of shark bycatch numbers (Oliver, et.al 2015).
