Width of Keratinized Tissue After Gingivoplasty of Healed Subepithelial Connective Tissue Grafts
Background: The subepithelial connective tissue graft has markedly broadened clinicians' abilities to treat gingival recession. Frequently, however, bulky soft tissue contours are sequelae of this procedure, and post‐healing gingivoplasty is often performed to improve esthetics of the grafted site.

The development of physiologic gingival contours by gingivoplasty
Abstract While the elimination of periodontal pockets with resolution of gingival inflammation and the establishment of physiologic function to the tooth are essential requisites for successful periodontal therapy, the achievement of a self-cleansing ability by a physiologic gingival architectural form will aid materially in the maintenance of health.

The objectives of this study were to clinically and histologically assess the capacity of bilaminar subepithelial connective tissue grafts (SCTGs) alone or in combination with gingivoplasty (Gv) to increase the keratinized gingiva width (KGW) in contralateral mandibular sites lacking KG (10 patients, 42 sites).

The authors suggest a method for surgical treatment of periodontitis using allogenic demineralized bone tissue of adults and fetuses. This method was effectively used at dentistry clinics of the Samara Province starting from 1984. A total of 177 patients with generalized and local periodontitis of medium and grave severity aged 19 to 55 were operated ...
