Functionalized Diaryliodonium Salts with N‐Reactive Amides: Versatile Reactivity for Constructing Benzo‐Fused Nitrogen Heterocycles

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 9, 5 May 2026.
A practical one‐pot strategy for the synthesis of ortho‐amide‐functionalized TMP‐iodonium(III) salts has been developed. These iodonium salts exhibited distinct reactivities toward N‐, O‐, and S‐nucleophiles, facilitating arylocyclization and producing a variety of benzo‐fused heterocycles under mild conditions.

Forebrain Origins of Glutamatergic Innervation to the Rat Paraventricular Nucleus of the Hypothalamus: Differential Inputs to the Anterior Versus Posterior Subregions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVN) regulates numerous homeostatic systems and functions largely under the influence of forebrain inputs. Glutamate is a major neurotransmitter in forebrain, and glutamate neurosignaling in the PVN is known to ...

Seroprevalence of Brucellosis Among Camels and Camel Owners in Ethiopia: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis (2000–2025)

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 3, May 2026.
• This systematic review and meta‐analysis included 45 articles, 39 focused on camels and 6 on camel farmers. • A total of 23,930 study participants were assessed, comprising 22,362 camels and 1568 camel farmers. • The overall pooled seroprevalence of brucellosis among camels and camel farmers was found to be 5.0%. • Subgroup analysis revealed that the

Introducing Reflected GNSS TEC Data Into ANCHOR Ionospheric Data Assimilation Model

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract ANCHOR is a novel data assimilation (DA) algorithm developed at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory to improve ionospheric nowcasting by increasing accuracy and decreasing computational cost. As a parameterized DA model, ANCHOR represents the ionosphere using physical parameters such as the F2 layer peak (Nm $Nm$F2), which characterizes a ...

Cholinergic Modulation of Locomotion and Striatal Dopamine Release Is Mediated by α6α4* Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Dopamine (DA) release in striatum is governed by firing rates of midbrain DA neurons, striatal cholinergic tone, and nicotinic ACh receptors (nAChRs) on DA presynaptic terminals.

Multi‐Decadal Trends in the Low Latitude foF2 Driven by Secular Magnetic Variations

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Long‐term ionospheric trends have been widely studied, but their origin and magnitude remain subjects of debate. This study quantifies the linear trend in the F2‐region critical frequency (foF2) and its local time dependence using observations from eight low‐latitude ionosonde stations.

Impact of Nutritional Literacy and Food Label Reading Habits on Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors Among Pregnant Women in Türkiye: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
This study of 370 pregnant women in Türkiye found that higher food and nutrition literacy and a positive attitude toward reading food labels significantly predict healthier lifestyle behaviors during pregnancy. Regression analyses confirmed that both factors are key contributors, even after adjusting for socioeconomic variables.
